DAY 1

Amara Selous

Arrive into Dar Es Salaam International Airport ( DIA ) where you will be met by your Gilroy & Camm representative who will assist you with connecting onto your scheduled flight to the Selous Game Reserve. On landing into the Selous you will be met by your camps driver guide and 4WD vehicle. From here you will be transferred, by road, to your Lodge, enjoying a game drive as you go. On arrival at your Lodge, you will be assisted with check in and shown your room. At a time convenient to you, there will be a short safari briefing; after which enjoy lunch as the day cools. At roughly 4pm you will head out on your 1st game drive, giving you the opportunity to explore this wonderful park and all the wildlife it supports.

 

DAY 2

Amara Selous

Located in southern Tanzania, the Selous Game Reserve is Africa’s largest game reserve. It is much quieter than the Northern parks, the rivers and lakes of the Selous are the lifeblood to a park that hosts phenomenal volumes of game including Africa’s largest elephant and wild dog populations and probably it’s largest buffalo, hippo, crocodile and lion prides. The 8 open-fronted rooms, for maximum comfort provide – wonderful beds, plenty of space and probably the best showers you’ll have come across for a while – each room has panoramic views out over the river, making sure that the only noises you hear are those of the wildlife.

 

Day 3

Amara Selous

The Selous wildlife is all the more interesting as it attracts both east and southern African wildlife, both resident and migratory, and over 440 known species of birds. Lion are particularly strong here and there are large numbers of leopard. The park is home to over 50% of the endangered African wild dog and also hosts very good buffalo, giraffe, eland, hyena, sable, hippo, crocodile, kudu, baboon, wildebeest, zebra, impala, hartebeest, colobus and vervet monkeys along with over 450 species of bird.

 

Day 4

Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp

After breakfast and check out you will drive the short distance, of roughly an hour, to the Airstrip, where you will board your scheduled service to the Serengeti. This will be a long daqy of travel, having you change planes in Arusha as you make your way to the Serengeti. On landing at roughly 1430 you will be met by your camps vehicle and driver guide. After loading up the custom made 4WD safari vehicle you will game drive towards your camp. On arrival you will be given a short safari briefing before being shown your tent. After freshening up, enjoy a late lunch and relax in the shade of your rooms verandah, enjoying the Vista’s so closely associated with being on safari in the Serengeti. Once the day cools sufficiently, head out on a shared game drive, with some of the other guests staying in this camp. Return at dusk, in time to watch the sunset on yet another remarkable day.

 

Day 5 & 6

Elewana Serengeti Migration Camp

Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park is also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th world wide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration, when some six million hooves pound the open plains, as more than 200,000 zebra and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle join the wildebeest’s trek for fresh grazing. Yet even when the migration is quiet, the Serengeti offers arguably the most scintillating game-viewing in Africa: great herds of buffalo, smaller groups of elephant and giraffe, and thousands upon thousands of eland, topi, kongoni, impala and Grant’s gazelle.
Your camp is a mobile camp, and as such moves with the wildlife. Affording you the best possible game viewing, with the most unique type of neighbors you will have ever experienced. Spend 2 full days getting to know them, with your experienced driver guide and from the comfort of a 4WD vehicle.

 

Day 7

Greystoke Mahale

After breakfast and check out you will make your way, slowly, to the local Airstrip where you will board your scheduled service to the Mahale. On arrival into their Airstrip you will be met by your Camps guide and boat. From here its roughly a hour boat trip as you zip your way along the coastline to camp, arriving for a late lunch. On arrival you will be given a short safari briefing before being shown your room.

 

Day 8 & 9

Greystoke Mahale

Spend 2 full days in this amazing Camp, with access to primates, in their natural environment, that’s almost impossible to duplicate or find anywhere else in the world. With such a sympathetic union between human and primate, you cant help but be speechless.
You will head up into these remarkable mountains with experienced guides and trekkers. Enjoy a full hour as these chimps, who are habituated, play and frolic with in close quarters. Head down to the shore edge where you may wish to relax in one of the natural waterfalls before heading out to do a spot of fishing as the sun sets. This place and its wildlife is sure to send your senses and emotions into over ride.
 

Day 10

The Manta Resort

DAY 1

Legendary Lodge

Arrive into Kilimanjaro International Airport ( KIA/JRO ) where you will be met by your Gilroy & Camm 4WD vehicle and private driver guide. From here you will be transferred, by road, to your Lodge. On arrival at your Lodge, you will be assisted with check in and shown your room. At a time convenient to you, there will be a short safari briefing; the rest of the day is at your leisure.

 

DAY 2

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

After breakfast and check out you will depart and make your way towards Tarangire National Park, this will take you roughly 2hours. On entering the park you will enjoy the rest of the morning and early afternoon, game driving and exploring all that this park has to offer. You can expect to see a large Elephant population, as well as the plains game and some predators too. After enjoying your picnic lunch, you will make your way out of this park, and from here, climb the Rift Valley Escarpment, stopping as you go to take in the breath taking views. The drive, on good roads, will take you roughly 2.5 hours to the entrance of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On completion of the vehicle paperwork you will drive on through the gates and upto the Crater Rim, where you will have a chance to see this magnificent Crater. You wish to pause at the viewing point, where you can take the chance to soak in this unique spectacle before heading onto your lodge. On arrival you will be given a short safari briefing about the Lodge, before being shown your room. Enjoy a sundowner as the evening cools.

 

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

After breakfast you will make your way down into the Crater for a full day. You have your own vehicle and guide so the timings are for you to discuss and decide upon. If you wish a packed lunch can be arranged, or maybe a packed breakfast, the latter allowing you to descend into the crater before the majority of other safari enthusiasts. Within the crater itself you have a very real chance of seeing the Big 5 and whilst the laws dictate that you stay on the roads at all times. There are many to choose from affording you every opportunity to see a wide variety of game and to get close enough for some excellent holiday snaps. Return to your Lodge at a time convenient to you. On returning you may wish to enjoy the Lodges WiFi, or indeed just a hot bath, prepared for your return.

 

Day 4

Singita Mara River Tented Camp

After breakfast and check out you will drive the short distance, of roughly an hour, to the Manyara Airstrip, where you will board your scheduled service to the Serengeti. On arrival into your Airstrip you will be met by your camps vehicle and driver guide. After loading up the custom made 4WD safari vehicle you will game drive towards your lodge. On arrival you will be given a short safari briefing before being shown your room. After freshening up, enjoy a light lunch and relax in the shade of your rooms verandah, enjoying the Vista’s so closely associated with being on safari in the Serengeti. Once the day cools sufficiently, head out on a shared game drive, with some of the other guests staying in this camp. Return at dusk, in time to watch the sunset on yet another remarkable day.

 

Day 5

Singita Mara River Tented Camp

Singita Mara River Tented Camp is located on the northern banks of the world-renowned Mara River in the Lamai triangle. Lamai, an area celebrated for its annual wildebeest migration crossings, covers 98,000 acres of the northern-most tip of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Wildebeest cross the Mara River at various points and the camp’s unique location provides spectacular opportunities to view the crossings. This area boasts one of the highest year-round concentrations of wildlife in the Serengeti National Park, thanks to its distinctive soil composition. This includes resident plains game, big cats and elephant, in addition to enormous populations of crocodile and hippo in the Mara River. It is worth noting, that the Migration is governed by weather patterns, of which no-one has control over, so there is always an element of luck when out on safari looking for game. That being said the Serengeti is well known not only for the migration but also for the extensive variety of residential game, which is prolific throughout the year. And as such this great Park rarely disappoints.

 

Day 6

Singita Sasakwa Lodge

After breakfast and check out you will make your way, slowly, to the local Airstrip where you will board your scheduled service to the Sasawka Lodge. On arrival into your Airstrip you will be met by your Camps vehicle and driver guide. After loading up the custom made 4WD safari vehicle you will game drive towards your lodge. On arrival you will be given a short safari briefing before being shown your room. Enjoy lunch and the chance to relax before heading out on a game drive, or you may wish to enjoy a guided walk, a ride on horseback or a game of tennis.

 

Day 7

Singita Sasakwa Lodge
